NORTHERN TERRITORY DRIVING
~ Gorgeous Terrain ~
As we left Camooweal which is just inside the QLD boarder, we drove into the NT...It was awesome it was really overcast, and as you can see from this not so well taken photo (I took it out the window backwards as I was driving at 110kph.) I love it when the sun shines through the clouds...I always see God so clearly in that! Georgious.
We could also see the big patches of darker sky where the rain was pouring in the distance it was great!
As we left Tennent Creek we saw an ambulance pass us. After an hours driving we came to this accident on the highway. Our car was behind this truck and one other car, in front of the truck was a white 4wheel drive. The driver had fallen asleep at the wheel, and had rolled the car. Cause of the secluded area they were in it took ages to get help to them, and it was nasty, we heard that the couple had not been able to be saved...after an hour of waiting...the ambulance drove away slowly.
STAYING AWAKE
For those of you who know me well...you know that I sometimes struggle with staying awake when it comes to driving to and from Toowoomba and Brisbane...I have found out why...I can't validate eating junk in the car to keep me awake if I'm only driving for 1.5hours...but on the way to Alice I ate chocolate and soft drink a bit and only felt tired once...and after putting a handful of m&m's in my mouth I felt awake again. So yeh I usually am not that unhealthy but I think being unhealthy is better than getting hurt. (A close friend of mine put it more bluntly...I would rather you get fat than die.)
